We’re doing our best to ensure our digital services are accessible to everyone regardless of disability, capability or technology. We make regular changes to our website and are working towards conforming to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (WC3) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1). We don’t fully meet these standards yet so if you are having difficulty navigating our site, please contact us so we can give you extra support.

Text size

If you find that the text is too small for you to read, you can change it to a size you are more comfortable with. The following instructions will help you to increase the text size on our website.

  • Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome: Hold down the CTRL (Command) key and press the +/- keys to zoom in or out of the page.
  • iOS devices: Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Slide Larger Text to On.
  • Android devices: In Chrome, go to Settings > Accessibility and drag the slider to adjust the size of the text.

If you use a wheel mouse, you may be able to change the text size by holding down the Control or Command key and turning the wheel. In some browsers you can change the text size using Control or Command and the + / - keys.

Keyboard shortcuts

You can use keyboard shortcuts to help you navigate our website more quickly. The keys you use depend on your browser.

Video content

All videos on our website use the YouTube video player. YouTube video player will automatically default to the HTML5 version if you are viewing our website using the latest version of our supported browsers. We have enabled subtitles and closed captions on all our YouTube videos for people who have a hearing impairment or for people who use English as an additional language.

Turning on subtitles in YouTube

Click on the settings cog icon in the bottom right hand corner of the video.

Select ‘subtitles/CC’.

For English subtitles select ‘English (United Kingdom)’.

To translate from English into another language select ‘Auto translate’ and select the language you need.
